Tzuri Gueta

Born in Givat Olga (1968), a graduate of Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, Ramat-Gan.

Tzuri is a rising star in the textile industry and in Parisian haute couture. He has developed original, surprisingly uncomplicated techniques for hybridizing natural fibers and synthetic polymers, sophisticated combinations of advanced polymer technology and age-old textile traditions.

Using the unique properties of silicone, he extended the surface of fibers and fabrics beyond their physical boundaries, creating three dimensional forms.

His experimental sophisticated work fascinated the textile and haute couture industry in Paris, where he has been living and working for the past few years.

Most of his developments were registered as patent . Gueta's innovative developments were born through designing fabrics for haute couture designers (Louis Vuitton, Jean Paul Gaultier, Givenchy, Chanel, Dior etc.) who wanted unique accessories and items to replace precious stones and materials.

Tzuri Gueta is a one person guild. He is not a craftsman in a familiar sense of manual craftsmanship, nor he is an industrial designer in the usual sense of technical reproduction, nor a scientist focusing on the understanding of processes and their appropriation to enhance the quality of human life, he is by fully cognizant choice, a textile designer, a creator who realizes his dreams through textile.
